Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 19, 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information Droply IO ("we", "our") collects when you use our service, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Droply IO you consent to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
Account data: when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile picture.
Optional profile data: phone number, city, and postal code if you choose to provide them.
Usage data: the product URLs you track, alert rules, target prices, and email/SMS preferences.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, log timestamps, and other diagnostic data automatically collected when you use the Service.
Payment data: processed by our third-party payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to operate the Service, including: creating and managing your account; tracking the products you ask us to monitor; sending welcome, alert, and transactional emails; processing payments and credits; preventing fraud and abuse; improving and securing the Service; and complying with legal obligations.
4. Email & SMS Communications
We send a one-time welcome email after signup. Marketing and price-drop alerts are only sent if you have opted in (consent is enabled by default and can be turned off at any time in Settings or via the unsubscribe link in any alert email). Transactional emails (security, payment, account) may still be sent regardless of marketing preferences.
5. Third-Party Services
We rely on third-party providers to operate the Service, including authentication (Google), hosting and database infrastructure, email delivery, payment processing, AI providers (for product summaries and Buy/Wait verdicts), and analytics. These providers may process limited data on our behalf under their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party retailers whose pages we monitor.
6. Cookies & Local Storage
We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. You can clear them at any time, but doing so may sign you out or reset preferences.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers described above, when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transfer (merger, acquisition, asset sale).
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion at any time. Some data may be retained longer where required for legal, tax, fraud prevention, or backup reasons.
9. Security — No Absolute Guarantee
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your data. However, NO METHOD OF TRANSMISSION OR STORAGE IS 100% SECURE. We cannot guarantee absolute security and are not liable for unauthorized access, breach, or loss of data resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us through the support options inside the app. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data to us, contact us so we can delete it.
12. International Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. By using the Service you consent to such transfers, subject to appropriate safeguards required by applicable law.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
